Sillari (Core) : This gate is at a distance of 30km away from Turia gate. This zone boasts of open grassy dense wooded forests and has thick bamboo vegetation with freshwater streams. Unfortunately, there are very few and basic options for lodging and boarding at this gate.

Khursapar (Core) : Khursapar is one of the most popular safari destinations of Pench National Park on the Maharashtra Side. The entrance to the area is located in the village of Khursapar. After Sillari, Khursapar is considered the main site and falls under the Maharashtra side of the Pench forest. It is home to a variety of natural waters, which attract many species of birds and wildlife. It is a very popular destination among day visitors as the chances of seeing wildlife in their natural habitats are great in this area.

Chorbahuli : This Gate Comes first when you are travelling from Nagpur to Jabalpur. Chorbahuli is lesser-known safari zone of Pench National Park on Maharashtra Side. The entry gate of the zone is situated at Chorbahuli village, located on NH-44.It consists of dense forest and beautiful water bodies, which draw many species of birds as well as wild animals to it. One can go for jungle safaris in this zone along with boat ride. The best way to explore the flora and fauna of the national park is to travel through jeep safari. Jeep Safaris operate in two shifts, one in the early morning and another one in the evening.

MP Safari Zones
Turia Gate (Core): This gate is the most popular gate amongst tourists visiting Pench. It is closest to National Highway 7 and lies on the border of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Majority of hotels and resorts are located on the southern part of the reserve. This part of the forest consists of mixed vegetation, scrublands, and streams. The Baginnalla waterhole is located here.Leopard sightings are extremely common here. The other road of the park splits upwards, leading to the Junewani waterhole.Behind this is arocky terrain leading to the highest point of Pench called KalaPahad.Pyorthadi, the area knowns for its dynamic views of rocks, is surrounded by the gigantic Ghost Trees and sparkling Salai Trees. The central area of the park is dominated by the undergrowth of lantana. Chital (Spotted Deers), jackals, and beautiful birds can be sighted here easily.

Karmajhiri (Core) : Karmajhiri is a popular safari zone of Pench Tiger Reserve, in Madhya Pradesh state. Travel distance from Nagpur to Karmajhiri gate is 160 kms/3:00hrs. After Touria zone of Pench, Karmajhiri is the second popular safari zone among tourists. It has gained popularity since year 2017 when Pench Tree Lodge, a luxury boutique safari lodge was opened here. Before this lodge, only government officials use to visit this gate as Forest Department had a basic accommodation facility. Other reason for less tourism in this gate was allocation of very few safari vehicles permission, through this gate. Majority of safari vehicles, still enters through Touria gate thus majority of hotels are located their and that gate becomes popular, far early. Karmajhiri safari zone is internally connected with touria safari zone. Their is direct safari route connectivity from Karmajhiri gate to Touria gate.

Jamtara (Core): At a distance of 75 km from Turiya, Jamtara is another popular safari zone of Pench National Park. The entry gate of the zone is situated at Jamtara village, which falls in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh. Jamtara zone is a lovely expanse, famous for sightings of Sloth Bears.

Rukhad : This is a hilly buffer zone and is convenient to be visited if tourists stay near Karmajhiri gate. There are several bamboo, Jamun, andArjun trees.Beautiful streams and lots of butterflies can be seen. Rukhad is also a strategic Tiger corridor for Pench and Kanha forest reserves. Guests can cycle around or opt for a jeep safari in this buffer. This is better suited when one is staying near the forest area.
